The CE Mark guarantees the conformity of the product to the essential requirements provided for by the EU Directives applied to the product. Harmonized European Standards have been developed by CEN (Comité Européen de Normalisation), an agency that represents all the national standardization agencies by virtue of the mandate issued by the European Commission. These standards are developed through an open and transparent process based on the consensus of all the parties involved. In accordance with European Community law, construction product producers are required to ensure that all the products distributed in the market are designed and produced in respect of the performance requisites prescribed.
